You are (20)16 going on (20)17, baby, it's time to think

Last year...

I went to see Ellie Goulding in concert.

I got a job in a garden centre. Sort of irrelevant pic but I stopped the car to take it on the way back from work once.

I dyed my hair wacky ginger.

I went to Center Parcs.

I completed my art foundation course with a Merit for my Final Major Project.

I made A LOT of videos. They're on my channel if you want to look, some are weird.

I 100% improved at driving. Driving long distances, driving in the dark, driving with four passengers and excessive amounts of baggage.

I went to the Cactus Shop with my grandparents. On that note, I gained plants (and lost some), and became more interested in plants in general.

I did my first term at university.

I've done a lot of knitting. My squares have multiplied hugely so I'll do another update post one day.

I went to London.

I went on a Weekend Away with the CU, easily one of the most fun weekends ever!

I got a nose piercing!

I went to New Wine and got asked to be a leader in the group I help out with.

I also swam in the sea in December, binge-watched 5 series of Call the Midwife with my mum and sister, turned 19, propogated plants, met a fox at 1am, did a painting I actually liked..basically I did a lot and more than I can remember!

In 2017 I want to take more opportunities to be creative, that means more time producing and less time scrolling mindlessly on social media, posting more of my photos and ideas on here rather than leaving them to gather dust and be forgotten. It also means trying new things, taking risks, and trying hard to be proud of my work not shy about it.

Like everyone else I want to drink more water because keeping hydrated is k00l. I want to keep building friendships, this time next year I will be living in a house with a bunch of my pals so that's something to look forward to. Oh and I have biggish plans for a new hairstyle.

Most importantly I want to keep working on my relationship with Jesus, I know it needs some work, as it always will do I suppose. I want to read my Bible more and not just as part of a daily routine but out of enjoyment. I want prayer to be my response to everything, not something I forget to do.

2016 was great, 2017 is going to be even better.

  1. Happy 2017!
You had a nice 2016, I'm very happy for the cool things that happened to you! I loved to read about them in your posts, like when you posted about your art project (that was lovely!) or you showed your plant family ^^

P.S. I will post recipes soon, I just started again my routine so it will take me time...btw, what kind of recipes would you like to see?

    1. Thank you! That means a lot :) I'm planning to post more art and plants!

oh i'm not sure about recipes, whatever you enjoy making!!

  2. Looks like your 2016 was eventful and successful!

It's really nice to see your year in this format.
Your wall of art (the 5th photograph) is very interesting. I would love to see more!

Also, I'm learning to drive- one passenger at a time and at the peak of day light.

    I'm definitely following your blog!

    1. Thank you!

That wall of art is from my foundation course last year, I've done a few blogposts where I show that work in more detail!

I hope your driving is going well! x
