Cactus Heaven

This week my grandparents took me to the Cactus Shop as an early birthday trip. It was pretty much a dream come true, I was amazed not only by the sheer number of plants there but also by the huge variety of different cacti and succulents. As you can see from the sign, it was actually shut when we got there (massive disappointment) but a lady who was working there very kindly let us in anyway.

It's basically a giant greenhouse, really pretty (but also sweaty after a while). I took a lot of photos but still I don't think I captured half of all the crazy different species! So much green though, I love it. Prepare for some major plant awe.

Teeny tiny banana lookalikes?

There's even a fish pond!

So cute, this is actually one of the plants I ended up getting.

Lots of babies!!

Look at the size of the cactus compared to its giant flower!

Really fluffy but also really spikey

Prickly pear

How are these real???

These are my new plant children (not that I really had the space to get more but hey), one of my next posts is going to show my whole collection. They are so cool, I keep just gazing at them, but I also have this weird nervousness like because they came from such a nice cactus home that I won't be able to look after them as well as that! Haha plant mum feels.

Anyway, hope you're all enjoying July (my birthday month!), stay tuned for my plant collection post coming up.

~ Apologies if the font/sizing/spacing is weird in this post, there's nothing I can do about it at the moment.

  1. They look so pretty! I've wanted some kind of plant to keep in my room (I've been on the look out), but I can never seem to find the "right" one for me. I really like the colorful, tiny cacti...but for right now I just have a marimo moss ball.

  2. I love all of these photos so much! I can't wait to decorate my new dorm room with tiny cacti and succulents... so cute.

  3. I love having plants all around me, especially succulents because they're not only so pretty, but not too hard to take care of!! I love greenhouses, they're so full of life and it's such a great feeling to be surrounded by nature. you picked out such cute lil plants!!!
