Let your colours bleed and blend with mine

I had my last exam on Thursday! That means no more school and no more revision, I kind of don't know what to do with myself. But I have things planned. Not big things, just lots of little things because I don't want to waste time or come to the end and feel like I've done nothing. I've decided to make sure I do one meaningful thing each day.

I started by dying my hair, because there is no better way to celebrate being (kind of) free, right? I felt like such a teenager, watching Daria whilst doing a dodgy home-dye, and I was so nervous about staining my skin and the bathtub, but it all turned out ok.

My favourite colour is green so it makes me pretty happy to be able to wear it on my head. It doesn't show up as well in photos but I love it, it's a mixture between a pretty, emeraldy colour and a gross mouldy shade which is a positive in my books.

Some songs I've discovered/obsessively listened to over the last few months:

I found Wolf Alice because they came up recommended for me on YouTube. YouTube was so right because this band is the coolest. This song is my favourite, I love Ellie's voice, and the video is great especially when it goes out in the forest and it's like Robin Hood rock band vibes (that's a thing).

I came across Sóley because she was interviewed on Rookie (thank u rookie 4 ur musical revelations). You may know that I'm fascinated by Iceland so that was partly what drew me to Sóley's music, then I heard it and fell in love, there isn't a song I don't like. Also she's just so cute.

Next up, Meg Myers. She's awesome. I already knew some of her other songs but I discovered this one and yaaaassss it's amazing to rock out to. Girls who scream 4ever. I feel like I have a strong connection with Meg because in an interview she was asked which dead person she would meet if she could and she said Steve Irwin.

This one is possibly the most exciting. I loved the song when I heard it and then the video came out and it's just perfect. I love love love the lighting and the rainbows and the flowers and crystals and ahh it's beautiful. Don't get me started on Nanna's look, it's incredible, and makes me want a septum piercing even more!! This photo has been my phone screensaver for nearly a month, because Nanna = inspiration.

So that was just a little update, I've planned to post more often over the summer so see you soon!
