Beauty blue eyes, my order of fries

You know I said I wouldn't have time to post for ages? Well, SURPRISE! I went on a spontaneous walk yesterday and I ended up taking photos...I have this thing where I kind of hate posting about something that's not really current, with the exception of my Prague photos I pretty much always post the same day or recently after taking pictures, otherwise I feel too detached and I can't talk about them. Is that weird? I also use really long sentences.

These photos are funny because I consistently have this really confused expression, also I'm dressed like a four year old. Maybe that's what I'm confused about.

I've been so uninspired with outfits recently. All I seem to wear is jeans and dungarees, so my outfits have been very blue, and to be honest I'm not even a big fan of blue. I find it boring, kind of predictable, everyone's favourite colour seems to be blue? But, like I said, I've been wearing it a lot so maybe I actually do subconsciously like it.

In this photo you can see my crazy hair situation. Basically, I took out my dreadlock and now have a section of hair which is my old, mermaid length, so I plaited it. It looks like fake, clip in hair or something, but I can assure you it's real.

The lighting was so nice. I rushed up to the top of the hill because I thought the sun was setting and I didn't want to miss it - side note: maybe the reason why I have that odd expression is that I did a lot of rushing and didn't bringing my inhaler so that's the face I make when I can't breathe lol - so anyway, I got to the top of the hill, realised the sun was pretty high in the sky still, then ended up going home and the sun didn't actually go down for like another two hours. Sometimes I surprise myself with how silly I can be.

I found a this little narrow path that I never knew existed.

This is kind of an outtake, I'm not sure what I'm doing. But I had to keep it because LOOK AT THE RAINBOW!

This is the soundtrack to my life at the moment. Two pretty dark and sad albums (the best music usually is haha). Vulnicura is a huge, heartbreakingly beautiful emotional rollercoaster ride through Björk's breakup that makes you want to give her a big hug but also applaud her and her "limitless emotions". I feel like this album is almost a celebration of womanhood and female strength and endurance. Carrie & Lowell isn't so heavy, it's the kind of light music that you just want to float away on (or is that just me?). I love it because it's all pretty until you listen to the lyrics and it's all death and blood and vampires. Throw in some religious imagery and Biblical references and it makes a really interesting album, Sufjan Stevens seems like a pretty cool guy.

One day I'll figure out how to end these things in a non-awkward way. Today is not that day. Bye.

  1. i love! this outfit: the floral on the dungarees goes really well with the frilly socks, and the white of the jujus just looks great with the rest of the blue/black color scheme. i've been holding waiting to listen to vulnicura because i'm sure that (as with all of bjork's stuff) it's an experience, so i want the chance to go somewhere outside of my regular location without distractions and listen to the whole album at once. also, i love that sufjan stevens is making dreamy happy folk music again.

  2. i am 100% digging the dressing like a four year old vibes - i just ordered myself a dungaree dress for the sole purpose of having a canvas for the tom & jerry iron-on patches I've been stashing away (it was my favourite cartoon as a kid) so i'm not one to preach. i love how your outfit pictures are all beautiful photos in their own right too. i so feel you on the colour blue, too! xox
