I will run on glass lakes

After being a bit absent from my blog for a while, I have managed to gather some inspiration for a kind of 'current vibes' post. Firstly, I've not blogged because I've been super busy with A-Levels (English Lit uggghh help) but also because I didn't really have anything to say. But now I'm sat down thinking about it, I'm realising that I've found a load of new music/film/art inspirations over the past month or so, so here's a sort of mishmash (oh cool, that's actually a word) from my brain right now.
I discovered playlists on YouTube, here's the one I made which has become my 'get back from school and blast out for an hour before my family gets home' playlist, it's fab:
someone please show me how to embed playlists?

My friend recently lent me two films I've been wanting to see for ages, and they have both ended up somewhere on my fave films list (it's a very long list, I could never choose). The first was Big Fish, which was obviously a must see because I'm a huge Tim Burton fan and it definitely didn't disappoint.

It had such a lovely but bittersweet ending, I almost cried. Instead I put my feels into a quick drawing of Jenny.

The second film I've been obsessing over is Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. I love thought provoking films, and I love a love story so this was just perfect. Needless to say, I now want blue hair, (plus I almost cried in this film too).

I printed off these photos to draw from. I love Clementine, she's such a great character.

Next on my list of cool things to share...SATU's free EP. I've listened to it a lot, especially Home, which I had on repeat for a pretty long time. You should also check out her blog because her art and outfits are also amazing.

Speaking of art, I recently came across Lora Zombie's work (thank you friends who introduce me to stuff) and wowow I was hooked straight away. As part of my art project for school I did a self portrait inspired by her, this is only a part of it because it's A3 and I used an A4 scanner lol, and I think it looks better in real life.

I'm also doing lots of sewing in my project, this page looks so cool but it's taking a really long time...

And finally, here's a biro drawing I did in the middle of the night

with lyrics from this song

Have a great week, especially if you have Easter holidays too!
